Soleil Empire
Capital: Horizon
Administrative Region: Central Corridor

Horizon is the capital of the empire located near the Cosora River. It was built upon the ruins of an ancient classic city, starting as a small coalition of tribes and developing into a kingdom, before spreading over the mountain ranges on either side of the corridor.
It is home to Soleil's Imperial Family and still maintains several ancient structures that have been in continuous use through the ages.

The Central Corridor is mainly agrarian and overseen by the Five Duchies:
- Fekete Duchy (SE of Horizon)
- Alvere Duchy (SW of Horizon)
- Servana Duchy (NW of Horizon)
- Tetri Duchy (NE of Horizon)
- Sinen Duchy (N of Servana and Tetri)
Notable Residents:
- The Imperial Family (Piers, Gideon, etc.)
- Tori's Friends: Ewan, Henrik, JP, Sonia, and Albert
- Axton
Sur - The Southern Region
Regional Capital: Presidio
Administrative Region: The Southern March
Sur was once the southern frontier of the Kingdom of Soleil and was conquered on its behalf by the Guevera Lords, who later became the Guevera Marquis Family. It has four sub-marches that report to the Gueveras.
Much of the interior of the region is a dry climate and it is warmer than the rest of the continental empire. It is separated from the rest of the continental empire by the Mezzaluna Mountain Range.
It is also the closest point to the Latharia Continent south of Soleil, across the water. Sur is dotted with garrisons and forts, particularly along the coast lines and mountain passes.
The Church of Belcoy's holiest spot is on Sur's southeast coast, Temple Mountain.

Notable Residents:
- The Guevera Family (Fortress, Presidio)
- Constantine Zisos (Temple Mountain)
Anlar - The Western Region
Regional Capital: King's Harbor
Administrative Region: The Western March
Anlar is predominantly agricultural and spills into the Central Corridor. It was the first of the regions to be expanded into and was conquered by the Tuagh Lords, who later became the O'Tuagh Marquis Family.
It has two separated sub-marches that report to the O'Tuagh Marquis.
Anlar is home to the majority of the empire's navy and the largest port, King's Harbor.

Notable Residents:
- The O'Tuagh Family (Moss Hill, King's Harbor & Field)
- Alessa Hart (Chetterswickshire)
Osten - The Eastern Region
Regional Capital: Hellenstradt
Administrative Region: The Eastern March
Osten is mainly mountains and forests with notoriously difficult mountain passes, some of which become snowed over in the winter. Due to its position as the only region that has a land border, almost half of Soleil's army is stationed along one of the several fortresses on the eastern border.
It is overseen by the von Schwert Marquis Family and has two sub-marches that report to it.
Currently, the eastern border is facing raids and attacks from the Duraga Federation.

Notable Residents:
- The von Schwert Family (Buchenberg, Hellenstradt)
- Ilyana Agafonova (Gorask, Northern Osten)
Nordur - The Northern Region
Regional Capital: Enda
Administrative Region: The Northern March
Nordur is mostly icy tundra and mountains; it is dotted with volcanic activity and is the least populated region. It was settled by the Nordur Lords, who became the Nordursin Marquis Family, who guard its northern most point. It is the only region with a singular march.

Chetterswickshire
Hart Barony, The Western March, Anlar, Soleil

The home of impoverished Baron Hart and his daughter, Alessa. A small farming village that is economically struggling. A good portion of their young people tend to leave to find work outside the village. Due to unlucky investment attempts in his youth, Baron Hart lost what remained of his family's fortune. He lives at the somewhat dilapidated Hart Manor with Alessa and their lone servant, butler Mr. Patrick Mulligan.

This is also located to the best brickmaker in Anlar, Stackhouse Bricks, run by widow Madam Voss and her and her brother's family.

**The name Chetterswickshire was created while I was trying to think of the most ridiculously Austen-esque village name.
Lutrae Landing
Summers Barony, Fekete Administrative Region, Central Corridor, Soleil

Pearls are officially the monopoly of barony, currently held by the Summers, although they make it a policy not to look too closely, especially if villagers intend to keep the pearls they find rather than sell them. The pearl trade isn't big; there are other, more productive sources. About a third of the money from it goes straight back to the village for upkeep of the commons and communal 'shipyard', another third goes to the Empire for taxes, while the final third goes to the Baron's personal funds. Baron Summers is well past middle aged. His heir, Lord Summers, is in his thirties, while his own children are 8 and 10. The village was founded, according to Legend, by some fur trappers who were chasing a particularly vexing otter who had been harassing them. The otter led them to the small inlet that Lutrae Landing sits upon, and the hunters lost track, and decided to give it up for fishing.
